Subject: Getting Better MAn

Here are lyrics and chords to "It's Getting Better Man"

Note 2 Beatles references: "Getting Better" from Sgt. Pepper, and "The
Word" from Rubber Soul ("Say the word and you'll be free").

It's Getting Better Man

A
Say something
A G D A
Shout it from the rooftops of your head

? ? ?
A G D A
Think you realize all that ? ?
A
? ? ?
A G D A
Wishing on a wave as in a cell
A
? ? ?
A G D A
You should build a castle in your cell (in yourself?)

A G D A
Maybe the signs I've seen (2nd time:"songs I sing") are wrong
Maybe the dreams I've dreamed are gone
A G D
Maybe they're already long been gone
(N.C.) A F#m
It's Getting Better Man
F#m A
And what was that you said to me?
Just say the word and I'll be free
F#m Bm
And when the stars are shining bright
D A
It's Getting Better Man
F#m A
At first she knew who brought a wave (2nd time"I'm crashing in upon a
wave")
It's/She's calling out beyond the grave
F#m Bm
And when they're/I'm fire in the sky
D A
It's Getting Better Man

Final verse:
A
Build Something
A G D A
Build a better place and call it home
A
? ? something
A G D
You'll never ever feel that you're alone.

Maybe the songs I sing are wrong....

It's Getting Better Man by Oasis

The chords for this are very dodgy, especially the bridge.
The lyrics are probably way off too!

A x02220
Bm x24432
G 320003
D xx0232
F#5 244xxx
A5 577xxx
E 022100

4b6 = bend on fret 4 tp pitch of fret 6
2h4 = fret 2, hammer-on to fret 4

INTRO : A Bm G A

Little riffs during intro :

G-----4b6---4---2-------2
D---------------------4-----

G-----4b6*---4---2h4---2---2

Verse: A Bm G A
Say something, shout it from the rooftop of your home
Even if it means nothing, make em realise you're not alone (probably wrong)
We've all got a bright future, wishing on a wave back to the shore (very wrong)
Something 'bout a life teaches you to build a castle in the sun

Bridge : Em G A
Maybe the songs that we sing are wrong.
                                      Em G A
Maybe the dreams that we dream are gone.

                   Em G D
Bring it on home and we won't be long.
                  (not sure about these chords)

Chorus:
               Oh-oh, It's Getting Better, Man

            F#5 A5
And what was that you said to me?
            F#5 A5
Just say the word and I'll be free

                                   B G F#5 A5
And when the stars are shining bright, It's Getting Better Man

We're crashing in upon a wave
It's calling out beyond the grave

And when there's fire in the sky

It's Getting Better, Man

(after-chorus):

D-----0---------------------
A---------3---2---2--2---3---
E------------------------------3

little riff at end of 2nd chorus:

B----12b14---12---10h12---10---10

(2nd verse - very likely wrong lyrics!)

Build something, build a better place and call it home
Even if it means nothing, you'll never ever feel that you're alone.

(Originally transcribed by John Ferrell; additions and refinements made by Karim Adab)

I like your site, and you have just about every song by Noel, but may
suggest that the chords for the chorus on "Its getting better man" are
played as: Am--Em-G, throughout the main chorus and the ending fade of
the song. (I could be wrong but it sounds like the record.)

Thanks, form Nick

About the chorus on "Its Getting Better man." It must be Am--Em-G flat
then D--A as you say. But Im not sure what that G chord is really called
but its played on the second fret like a normal bar chord G:

1}-X-
2}-X-
3}-X-
4}-4-
5}-4-
6}-2-
